This topic is for?Alicia?s group blogging experience.Another member aptly described it as "an informal gathering of friends", and participation is open to all.Edit to add: Nothing I?ve tried will get that link to work.I keep getting the "unexpected error" page.~~~sigh~~~ Maybe later.It worked fine when I linked to Alicia?s page in all my previous blogs.In order to narrow my thoughts down, I had to think on what an "annoyance" means to me. I?ve decided that I consider these things to be less serious offenses.?Something which I don?t get?extremely upset and I?m over it within an hour.Now if we ever have a blog on "What seriously disturbes you in this world"...that could get intense.I once seen an innocent discussion forum post on another website regarding?pet peeves turn into an 8 page?flame war?because people started to get offended, so I?m going to keep this mostly very?specific to things people in my life do, with the exception of a couple general things that I?m almost sure many people?could relate to.Starting off...When using a public restroom after someone who is obviously an adult, finding pee all over the toilet seat.That?s just irritating.?I understand kids do that...but cmon, if you know better.I know no one wants to get too comfortable on a public toilet...I hover.But it takes 2 minutes to wipe the seat.Please do.I?m annoyed when I encounter adults who don?t cover their mouth when they have a hacking cough.Nobody wants to catch that cold.Specific to me, I don?t like when my partner interchanges the vegetable and meat cutting boards.That?s why I have them clearly marked "V" and "M".Lol.

Lol.It?s not the hugest deal but it does mean I have to sterilize the board if raw meat was on the vegetable board.I?m neurotic about these type of things.It has to do with bacteria.Long, "cute" outgoing voicemail messages.I?wish everyone would just use the standard "Hi you?ve reached ____.Please leave a message."What?s wrong with that??Especially ones where you have to listen to a song...I?understand you love that song, I?understand you?re expressing your individuality, but there?s about a million better ways.Maybe it?s cause I?m getting older that it annoys me. Again very specific to my life...one of my chronically-late-for-everything friends.Bless her heart and I love her dearly but if she says "meet you at 6", translation = 6:30 that she?ll come driving up all fast and flustered with cell phone attached to ear and about a million other things happening.I?m very organized to a fault so it gets on my nerves some.I think it has to do with all the years I had to take the subway and city buses when I lived in the?San Francisco Bay Area.I think anyone who?s ever depended on public transportation develops an acute sense of timing because you have to.You need to know what bus will get you to where you?re going, when to make connections and transfers, how long it takes to walk to the bus stop or?subway station, have correct change...it?s really very disciplined.And although I?m fairly tolerant about public cell-phone talking, there are just some places where it shouldn?t be done or at the very least kept to a quiet minimum.Like the library.Am I just?old or when did it become ok to talk loud in the library?I?ve observed that it certainly seems acceptable now because the staff says nothing to the loud cell phone talkers.?Any other place where a reasonable amount of noise might be expected is fine...such as shopping areas, outdoors, bars.That?s all I have.I?m sure there?s more, but in the way of a minor annoyance I probably forgot already.
