If you'd like to join this then here's the link to Tina's announcement blogWell..this got a great start didn't it?I picked a topic like that myself and wasn't even able to get something posted in time.Wow!I'm impressing myself already;o)The story that made me think of this title took place in our winter vacation.My daughter Katja and I had been shopping with my Sister and my niece.Towards the end I went to the supermarket to get a few groceries and as promised I bought two strong beers for Gert "Giraf"- Beers they are called.Then we split up and Katja and I caught the bus home.I placed a plastic bag with some clothes and the two beers on the seat next to me and right after the bus started my bag tipped over.Oh yeah one of the beers hit the floor.Nah didn't break the topic was slightly embarrassing wasn't it?A smashed bottle would have called for a word a bit stronger than slightly.THIS particular bottle chose to start rolling.I tried to catch it with my feet but that wasn't meant to be.So the whole bus I felt could hear the bottle loud and clear as it rolled under the seats!A couple of ladies whom I have often met on the bus had more luck than me. Or one of them did.She managed to do what I couldn't she caught it with her foot and picked it up.I admitted it was mine right away of course and said that I had started early on a summer music festival called the "Langeland Festival" their mascot is a giraffe!The lady who caught my beer was very amused and said that it was the first time she ever caught a giraffe with her foot!When we got ready to get off the bus the ladies asked if I had managed to get all my stuff together I told them to watch out for the giraffes they're sneaking up on you from behind I warned them.I have a question now: did you ever pull this stunt?Having a piece of your skirt stuck in your underwear?Damn that's a stupid feeling!And I might add that I'm actually talking to the ladies now.The alternative is creating pictures in my mind that might make me slightly embarrassed if they were developed..and let's face it: a bit amused too LOL..While I'm still in the clothes department I'll return to the shopping trip with sister dear and my darling niece.We were talking about the way we felt around trying clothes in the shops and she said that Cille was good at that.That's no wonder!The girl is 14 she's a babe already and she always has to ask for the smallest size they have;o) Personally I'm not too crazy about that part and I tend to agree with one of these chicklit authors who once wrote "why does your skin always look like dough in those dressing room mirrors?"On second thoughtdon't answer that!Then there's such a thing as potentially embarrassing situations.Oh boy will we ever be able to count them and reach the exact number?I doubt it.The situations where you look around and feel quite relieved to see that no one saw you?On a summers evening when I was still living at home with my parents I was in the garden shelling a big bowl of peas.I was sitting in a camping chair and wanted to get a bit away from the table so I pushed it backwards and I guess with a little imagination you can all imagine what happens when you push a chair like that backwards?............... yup, the legs of the chair are more than happy to meet so the chair collapsed and I went backwards too..and I had the bowl of shelled peas in my lab!I had them all back in the bowl quicker than you could imagine.Sat myself down in the chair again and continued..and a few minutes later my sister came with a camera saying "smile" I had NO trouble smiling while I was thinking "oh boy what a picture you just missed"Now that my job is done I'll sit back and enjoy the fun in other people's embarrassing moments..let's us start with this video just to get warmed up and I meant the 'laughing muscles' ;o):Check out this video: MasterCard MomentAdd to My Profile | More Videos
